The great comedian Kapil Sharma is one of the most popular comedians in the industry, but his struggle story behind what he is today is truly inspirational. To earn his pocket money, Kapil did part time job at a phone booth after class 10th and his real struggle started since then.

Kapil started his career from theatre and also did comedy plays without taking money and those days of struggle have made him better and the most celebrated star. He struggled for almost 10 years in the theatre field. During this time he lost his father due to cancer and had to take financial responsibilities of his family.


The stand-up comedian got his first television break on TV for a show, “Hasde Hasande Ravo”, in a Punjabi channel MH-1 in 2005 at the age of 24 years. 

Kapil Sharma completed his higher studies from Hindu College in Amritsar and got a kick start to his talent and career after he appeared in Great Indian Laughter Challenge show. Kapil became the winner of this show in 2007 and won Rs 10 lakh as prize money at the age of 26.

In 2008, Kapil appeared in several great shows like Chote Miyan, Jhalak Dhikla jaa season 6, Ustado Ke Ustad and few more.

He then participated in Sony Entertainment Television’s Comedy Circus and won back to back 6 seasons of the show out of 
.

In 2011 Kapil surprised everyone with his singing talent as a wild card entry on Zee TV Show- Star Ya Rockstar.

In 2013, Kapil Sharma launched his own show Comedy Nights with Kapil, under his own production house K9 Production on Colors Channel. The show turned out to be highest running TRPs show of the channel.

On September 25, 2013, Kapil went through tragic accident after his entire set got burned and collapsed at Film City Goregaon, Mumbai, causing a great loss. That was the most difficult time for Kapil but nothing stopped him. He continued the show by making a temporary set in few days and also got support from the stars from the industry.

After opting out of YRF’s 3 film deal, Kapil Sharma made his Bollywood debut with Abbas Mastan’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon in 2015.


Earlier this year, Kapil had a huge fallout with Colors channel CEO Raj Nayak and due to which, he shifted to Sony TV channel. From “Comedy Nights With Kapil Sharma” to “The Kapil Sharma Show”, the comedian continued winning the hearts of his audience. Though he witnessed many ups and down in between, but Kapil did not give up.

One of the fore-runners in the TV scenario currently is Kapil‘s show and is the most watched show on the Sony TV channel. While Kapil is doing wonders for Sony TV’s TRP ratings, reportedly the comedian star has locked a new whopping deal with the channel. Kapil Sharma moved from Colors channel to Sony Channel and now has renewed the deal for Rs 110 Crore for another year-long contract with the network.
