1. INDIAN PARLkIAMENT WAS DESIGNED BY ? 

Design of Indian Parliament created by 2 Britishers Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker. Both of those were also responsible for overall designing and construction of Delhi. First Foundation of Indian Parliament House laid on 12 February 1921. 

2. TOOK 15 YEARS FOR CONSTRUCTION 
Sansad Bhavan construction started in 1912 and opened in 1927. Right now, it’s one of the most important and historical buildings of India. 83 lac price of money to get the marvellous building created. 


3. INCLUDE 2 HOUSES 

The Parliament House or Sansad Bhavan include 2 houses, the upper House and the Lower House. The higher house is also called the Rajya Sabha or Council of States whereas Lok Sabha is also called the Lower House. The members of the Parliament are either elected by the people of India or nominated by the President of India. The legislature or Parliament headed by the President of India. The term of Rajya Sabha is six years (one-third of its members retire each 2 years and replaced by freshly elected members) and also the term of Lok Sabha is 5 years. 

4. 2001 PARLIAMENT ATTACK OR ATTACK ON SANSAD BHAVAN 
On 13 December 2001, both lashkar-e-toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists attacked the Parliament House of India. About six military personnel and one civilian killed in the attack. 


5. NOBLE PASSAGES INSCRIBED 

Noble Passages has been inscribed on all walls and ceilings of Indian Parliament House which function guiding spirit for each Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. 
The English translation of the Script mentioned below :“Open the door to thy people And let us see thee For the obtaining of the sovereignty” 


6. CARPET COLOR OF RAJYA SABHA AND LOK SABHA

Carpet of Lok Sabha is green in color that represents that India is an Agriculture Land and people elective in lok sabha is from grass root level. Hence carpet of Rajya Sabha is red in color that signifies Royalty. Additionally tells regarding the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters of India. 


7. VOTING IN PARLIAMENT 

Parliamentary voting completed electronically for different questions asked during the proceedings of the house, amendments, new bills, etc. There’s a voting console with coloured buttons :

8. ONLY SURVIVING MP’S OF FIRST LOK SABHA 

Since Mr Resham Lal Jangde from Chhattisgarh and Mr Rishant Keising from Manipur are the sole surviving Member of Parliament of 1952 Lok Sabha session that was the first Lok Sabha session of Indian Parliament. 


9. PROPOSAL FOR BRAND NEW BUILDING 


The Government of India has planned a new parliament house building to replace the present one. The present building preserved and protected because of its heritage tag. 


10. AVAILABLE TO GENERAL PUBLIC 

Sansad Bhavan or Parliament House’s some parts are available to the general public from 11 am to 5 pm. But the museum remains closed on Sundays and Mondays. 
The main job of Parliament is to frame laws and amend them. Legislative proposals moved by Ministries dealing with subject as per Allocation of business rules. It will legislate on 93 subjects of the Union list and 47 of the concurrent list mentioned within the Constitution of India. Another important job is to pass money bills and approve budget of the Union.
It has some adjudicatory functions like impeachment of judges of the Supreme court. Sll government papers are laid on parliament. It additionally examines delegated powers exercised by the Departments.
